Asian-Pacific Consensus Guidelines recommend levofloxacin for H. pylori infection The second Asia-Pacific Consensus Conference has reviewed the latest information on Helicobacter pylori management. The current recommended first-line treatment is a PPI-based triple therapy involving clarithromycin and metronidazole. However, in parts of Asia there is increasing resistance to both these drugs and a number of recommended salvage therapies have been proposed. One of these is levofloxacin-based triple therapy.
